Recently, our trainees conducted the presentation of the Montessori Colour Tablets, an essential Sensorial material designed to refine a child’s visual discrimination and develop an appreciation for colours and their varying shades.

Understanding the Montessori Colour Tablets

The Colour Tablets are introduced in stages, beginning with the primary colours and gradually progressing to matching, naming, and grading different shades. Through these carefully structured presentations, children develop concentration, observation skills, order, and aesthetic awareness.

Learning Through Practice

During the training session, our trainees demonstrated the correct Montessori presentation techniques, including:

•⁠ ⁠Preparing and arranging the material with precision.
•⁠ ⁠Presenting the colour tablets using slow and purposeful movements.
•⁠ ⁠Encouraging visual discrimination through matching activities.
•⁠ ⁠Practicing the three-period lesson for colour naming.
•⁠ ⁠Grading colour shades from light to dark.
•⁠ ⁠Maintaining Montessori principles of observation and minimal intervention.
